Andrew Spottiswoode

Andrew Spottiswoode is the Engineering Manager and Representative Director of Novum Structures South Africa. He is responsible for the preconstruction engineering of projects in the Middle East and Africa, as well as the management of operations in our South Africa division which includes procurement, project management and construction.

Andrew worked for Murray and Roberts Construction in South Africa prior to joining Novum in the USA. As Preconstruction Engineer, he specialized in glazed steel structures and was involved in training engineers. Andrew returned to Johannesburg to open and operate a Novum office there. Several notable projects have been built including the Mall of Africa, the largest skylight on the continent featuring ETFE pillows and freeform structure.

Andrew completed a Bachelor in Civil Engineering degree from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa, and completed a Master of Structural Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
