Fort Worth Museum of Science and History

Novum was contracted to engineer, furnish and install the Urban Lantern that welcomes visitors to the new Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. The "Lantern" symbolizes a beacon of learning and functions as the main entrance. To achieve the required design within the client’s budget, Novum engineered a structure with hidden bolted connections, which eliminated costly field welding. Point supported glass panels with a vivid yellow custom ceramic frit pattern complete the tower. Softly illuminated at night, the Lantern has become the iconic symbol of the new museum.
