Novum was contracted to design, manufacture and install the ETFE Stressed Skin Membrane facade on Europe's first energy positive stadium. In response to the requirement for a low maintenance system that could offer a visually arresting focal point. Novum Membranes worked with suppliers to develop a blue patchwork of colored UV resistant ETFE sections to maintain the depth of color over the stadium's life cycle, while Novum Engineers developed a new SSM-System profile to maintain tension on individual panels up to 850m2 in size to form the smooth seamless curve of the facade.
