Hull History Centre
Novum was contracted to engineer, furnish and install an intricate curved roof along the south side of the Hull History Centre. Half of the roof covers an outdoor seating area for guests and the other half encloses the main reception area. The roof consists of 23 ETFE air filled pillows that attach to a glulam structure which was also developed by Novum. The curves and tight radii of the structure was resolved by the patterning and fabrication skills of Novum’s membrane production facility. The museum has since won many architecture awards.
